When I first meet a new student, I quickly realize that the daily grinds of life are usually pretty (sorely) clear:

“Healthy Living” is not just a new fad. Statistics shows that chronic illnesses and heart disease are on the rise. No one could believe they will beat the statistics unless you take action.
Even if you do not join our martial arts classes, I encourage you to engage in some physical activity! However, if you do join us, you will know that you are on a special path that you, significant other, your children, and each person around you can be proud of our accomplishments.

As Humans – we are not meant to be enclosed in a cubicle all day at work, and to only to come home and turn on the TV and set on the couch. The self-defense you will learn and the knowledge you can gain from interacting with your classmates in an encouraging setting is remarkable.

The key is a Strong Healthy body. However, there are many people who want to “lose weight”, but they do not realize that that to do this it requires building lean muscle. The more lean muscle mass you develop science states you will burn more calories (even during rest).

If you ever need to defend yourself or someone you love, you will unquestionably be able to defend yourself. The highly effective and practical Martial Arts techniques you will learn in our class will equip you with a great sense of confidence that our students get to take with them everywhere they go. I hope you never have to use the street self-defense techniques of Kosho-Ryu or Kajukenbo; but if you do, you will be prepared.
Greater Self Esteem
One of the key things you will learn during our classes is a greatly positive sense of self. This is not just for children. Low Self Esteem, if we are being truthful, is painful just as much, or more than likely even more, as adults. You will have increased able to fend off the emotional assault of judgment from others. You will have the confidence to set appropriate boundaries with your colleague at work and in your personal life. Eventually, through success in our Martial Arts class, know that you have conquered yourself.
Your Classmate’s Support
The importance of working through your challenges with a group of supportive peers who share the same common focus and the same goals cannot be overstated. Your classmates and I WILL be held accountable, and this time, you WILL achieve your personal goals.
I nor your fellow students will not allow you to shy away from the things you want to achieve; I will be there every step of the way supporting. If you want kids to stay healthy, they have to enjoy their exercise. Our classes are so much fun, your child will beg to come. They’ll actually love doing pushups, jumping jacks and crunches. They’ll take pride in their improved flexibility and stamina, and they’ll leave class everyday sweating and smiling.

How? The Answer is not brain surgery, and to be honest, I feel
blessed to have discovered it 27 years ago. It's straightforward and subtle, but when you see it in person (particularly as a parent) It is almost Mysterious. "The Answer" resolves every one of the issues we previously mentioned and many more.

Not.....unless you want to! I understand every student is on their own journey. We have programs to meet everyone’s needs, the younger, stronger students love to take their training way past what most people would want.
However, for the majority of our students (95%), getting hurt it not an option (plus I understand you need to go to work the next day). In our classes, safety is vital. There is no more of a chance of you getting hurt here than there is at a gym or running down your neighborhood street.
Not at all. While we absolutely suggest maintaining an active lifestyle, if you have not exercised in years, our beginner classes are perfect for you.
We specifically focus this class on helping students not only learn the basic foundations of traditional martial arts but on building physical endurance, flexibility, and strength. Before you know it, you'll be looking and feeling fantastic.
Our programs fit into almost any schedule (please remember, each family that take classes with us are very busy too!). We have students who are effective in our program at only once day a week, and we have students who love classes so much that they plead with their parents to bring them every time we are open. If you have questions about the schedule (it may not be clear which class is right for your child), there's an area on that page to ask questions of me.
Our physical curriculum is designed to work to improve your child's fitness level, strength and flexibility. Our Character for Life curriculum improves your moral compass and Life Skills. Are curriculum rotates through important subjects such as Kindness, Focus, Respect, Discipline, Patience, Acceptance, Compassion and more. I feel privileged every day to be teach and pass these life skills on to our next leaders
Our adult programs fit into almost every ones schedule (remember, all of the other students in our classes also have super busy schedules too!). We have students who are successful in our program at only one day a week, and we have students who are so addicted to love class that are here everyday.

It is our practice to always start with a Trial Program for all our classes. It is extremely important not only for you in your evaluation phases to ensure our program will be beneficial, but also for us to be sure we can appropriately meet your goals.
Since this is evaluation time is so important, and because it is required for all new students, spaces in our trial program are often very limited. If you want to reserve your spot, please be sure to sign up for one! If there are no spaces, we'll put you on the waiting list.
